Build a virtual fashion empire by learning to manage your own boutique.
Improve your management, supply chain, and customer skills.
Earn money, improve your boutique, and keep customers happy to increase levels.
Do you ever dream of owning your own boutique? Whether you do or thinking of owning something in the future, you can already start practicing your business skills with this cool, chic, and fun mobile game called Fashion Story: Wicked Fit.
A brainchild by Storm8, Fashion Story: Wicked Fit transforms you into a fashion-conscious boutique owner whose main job is to keep your customers happy to earn more money and grow your business. This can be done by improving the look of your shop, buying stock, and paying more attention to the customer needs.
To perform all these tasks, the game includes three major menus: Catalog, Closet, and Design. In Catalog, you can tap your orders classified into various styles. Each style and product, meanwhile, has a corresponding potential earning (money and stars), number of units available, and time of delivery. For example, casual and business wear and accessories take between a minute to 15 minutes. More expensive but bigger-earning items can be ready between 1 and 3 hours.
The Closet gives you access to items you can use to improve yourself. This is where you can change your hairstyle, clothes, and accessories, to name a few. The Design menu features all the pieces you may need to enhance the ambiance and thus customer experience.
Aside from money and stars (which you have to accumulate in order to move to levels), you will also have diamonds. Initially, you’ll have 10, and you can use it to buy more sophisticated design pieces or speed up ordering process, making all items bought ready for display in an instant.
Like in other kinds of customer-oriented games, the more you move up the levels, the more customers you have to deal with. This is where smart management skills come into play. A good factor to help you decide is to look at the icons on top of the customers’ heads. They’ll tell you whether they want access to mirrors or clothing rooms. It’s also helpful to make sure you have displayed items to keep customers coming in.
The game has an in-app store and a social aspect. Diamonds can be consumed pretty quickly, which is a bit of the downside of the game as this may force you to buy. Fortunately, in-app items are very cheap (you can buy a few diamonds for less than $2), and you have the option to download other games to give you free stars, money, or diamonds. You can also sell unused or useless items, but watch out: sale prices are ridiculously lower than your purchase price.
The game promotes community by allowing you to invite friends and communicate with them. The sense of fellowship helps the game become more relatable to real-life situations.
Fashion Story: Wicked Fit has a great graphic, which is necessary to give you the illusion of a truly boutique feel. However, the music may not be exactly suitable to the game’s theme. Nevertheless, considering this has a great gameplay, issue with music is trivial.
Fashion Story: Wicked Fit doesn’t prepare you completely to the real world of managing your own boutique or any business for that matter. Instead, it can give you a glimpse and help you understand what it entails to succeed: great planning, smart thinking, good decision making, and attention to details... in addition to offering plenty of entertainment.
