Harvest Master is a delightful farm simulation game in which you play the role of a young girl who’s been given control over an entire farm after her uncle passes away. Unfortunately for you, the farm has accumulated a huge debt over the years and it’s now up to you to make enough money to pay it off so the farm doesn’t get seized.
Harvest Master is filled to the brim with stuff to do and this is why it’s among the harder farm simulation games to get into. Fortunately, though, the learning curve isn’t that big of a problem because the game starts off with a fairly in-depth tutorial sequence that does an excellent job of explaining all the basics to new players. The tutorial is fairly lengthy but it’s worth every minute because it’s packed with useful information so it’s recommended that you stay focused throughout the entirety of it.
Onto the gameplay itself, there’s quite a lot to do in Harvest Master that you can’t do in traditional farming games and this is why this game is more than worth trying out. There are tons upon tons of different crops to grow but perhaps the most fascinating thing about crop growing game in this game is the fact that it comes with an in-depth season system that keeps cycling between the four seasons over and over again and each individual season has its own unique crops that players can grow. Crops that have successfully grown can then of course be sold in markets or utilized in the crop festivals that take place from time to time.
Other than the standard farm game elements, Harvest Master has quite a lot to offer. Players can mine for various different kinds of ores and then sell these rare resources at high prices, players can buy better tools and even build some themselves through the ores they’ve mined, there’s a pier where players can go fishing and, on top of all this, the game even allows players to get married once they’ve progressed a bit far into the game.
Harvest Master might not be among the elite farming games out there when it comes to visuals but, all things considered, it’s quite nice to look at. The colors are vibrant, the character designs are nice, the animations are fluid and the interface is quite sleek.
Harvest Master is free to download and play but it does have a paid version that consists of various extra in-game elements for players to enjoy.
All said and done, Harvest Master is an exceptional farming simulation that has a lot to offer.
