A long time ago, people were not as modernized as we are now. Things had to be done by hand, and people only have the most rudimentary tools at hand. That could be quite a world to live in if we had suddenly been thrust into that predicament today.
Fortunately, with Bonga Online, you can explore your very own island. You can build your own civilization, gather your own resources and command your own townspeople to be more productive in what they do every day. You don’t even need to build a time machine; everything that you need is online.
So, your first step to this trip back in time is to register for an account at the game’s website. It’s all for free, and you only need to nominate a username and a password. You should also prepare a valid, working email address for the game to send a verification email to. Once you’re done with these simple steps, you can begin playing the game.
As with all virtual world simulators, you begin with a few steps of tutorials. In this tutorial, you will learn how you can gather food for your people. You have the pineapple, coconut and banana trees for this. Simply click on one of these trees, and pick the “Shake” option. This will drop a fresh fruit from the tree, which your islanders can consume.
Trees can run out of fruits, but they take only roughly 10 minutes to regain their produce so you can harvest them again.
Closely monitor the hunger of your inhabitants. You can do this by hovering your mouse cursor over each islander, and you can see a crossed spoon and fork icon at their feet. There will be a number right next to this icon; if this drops to a very low level like 3 or 4, it’s time to feed your islander.
Simply click on the islander, click on Feed in the next window and then follow the steps to harvesting fruits from your trees. This will replenish your islander’s stomachs and get them ready for more work.
You can command your islanders to collect resources as well. You have a stone quarry from which to collect stone, bamboo thickets to collect bamboo from, and your trees for leaves. You will need these resources to build stuff like huts, kitchens, and sun beds, among others.
In addition to watching over your islander’s hunger levels, you’d also need to monitor their stress levels. You can let them unwind by sending them over to the sun bed, which lets them relax and bask in the warmth of the sun at the same time. The sun bed requires a cooling time of 4 minutes before the next islander can lie down, so you have plenty of time to keep them busy before they have to rest again.
To guide you along the way, you are given several quests that you can work on. Of course, you can choose to do what you want but these quests can give you rewards, so they’re the best tasks to do while you’re playing the game.
